Oh weight.  The older you get the more I gain.  I know this is obvious but it isn’t as easy to accept.  10 lbs just jumped on me for no reason or so i thought. I was thinking about when it started… and it correlated w/ when i stopped riding a fixie.  I think gears might make you fat.  Oh Phishing. I am a dyed in the wool fly fisherman, I know this.  But sometimes you gotta bust out the Mepps. Lately, I have been fishing above Red Bluff on the Sac.  Gorgeous water and Bald Eagles that scoff at me as I don’t catch fish. Last weekend I went back armed w/ lures instead of prince nymphs.  I was hungry.  Not just to eat a fresh trout but to boat a trout. The excitement of a vibrating force on the end of a line that reaches into the dark depths of the Sacramento.  It is something I miss.
