Finally!

The Chico Chunnel is finally open! Yay! I have been waiting for this for months.  I live and sleep on the south side of the park. I work and drink down town. For me to ride I must navigate the perilous hell that is mangrove ave.  Well, say fuck you to motorist no more.  Now, I can dive right into the park, ride the wrong way down the park road and take the bike trail under mangrove, through annies glen and volia; work, pizza, beer, profit.

In this weeks Snooze and Review had as guest columnist Mr. Waddell.  He talked about the Chico Museum is showcasing something I have always pondered, the naming of Chico neighborhoods.  I always thought my hood should be called “south park” for obvious reasons.  The area east of down town to pine could be just called “down town”, and west of down town to walnut is “the grotto”.  West of walnut is called “the zoo”. The area south of 32 and east of 99 is “new mall” and further is “new world”.   Don’t forget “old mall”, the area north east of 99 and cohaset. Well anyway, I guess I will have to go see the Chico Museum exhibit.
